PRIME DIRECTIVE

By: Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens

Starfleet's highest law has been broken.
Its most honored captain is in disgrace, its most
celebrated starship in pieces, and the crew of
that ship scattered among the thousand
worlds of the Federation . . .

Journey with Spock, McCoy and the rest of the former crew
of the starship Enterprise to Talin - the planet where
their careers ended.  A world once teeming with life
that now lies ruined, its cities turned to ashes, its surface
devastated by a radioactive firestorm - because of their actions.
There, they must find out how - and why - this tragedy occurred . . .
and discover what has become of their captain.

TREKKIEGUY'S REVIEW

I have mixed feelings about this story.
I just don't believe Starfleet would ever bust Kirk
out of the service, but they DO in this story
(Yes, I know it's just a story)

Anyway, I enjoyed it for the most part.
It's well written with accurate characters.

Update:

I found a paperback version of this novel in a
second-hand book store and I just had to buy it.
It was published in Great Britian by Pan Books Ltd.

I read the story again and I must say I enjoyed it
much more this time.  In fact, I like it so much I
increased the rating from 3 to 4 stars!
